About the Joshua Tree Labyrinth House

The Joshua Tree Labyrinth House is a work of love. We bought this house as a home for ourselves and our community and as a place to share with others to come for solitude, creation, healing, adventure and celebration.

The house was built in the 1950s, and as of yet we don’t know much about its early history. Up until the previous owner it was known in the vicinity as the Now, and was used for vacation rentals, and healing arts with a proud counter-culture vibe. The previous owner streamlined some of the decor and ran it successfully on Airbnb until she decided to focus on her career.

We were immediately struck by the energy of the house and the location. Lots of nooks and crannies in the house to accommodate larger groups of people. Privacy and solitude with Copper Mountain behind us, and no proximal neighbors on either side.

We’ve put lots of work into the house including planting Ocotillos, enriching the decor with a global desert aesthetic, adding an outdoor bar area, and building a beautiful new in-ground pool, just the right size to play, refresh and commune. And yes there is a labyrinth! The house is set up for creative exploration with art supplies, books to read, a karaoke machine, and musical instruments to play.
